You can. But "doing Amazon" yourself is very challenging and time-consuming, and requires input and technical requirements that most business owners don’t even realize. Many of our clients have tried to sell on Amazon themselves, and quit because they became frustrated and confused. Amazon’s interface is highly complex and ever-changing, and struggling to do this yourself will cost you time, and more importantly, lost opportunities. Bottom line: Why learn the hard way?
You can expect to see sales within 4-6 weeks from the time you start. We work fast, but remember, Amazon has very specific technical requirements regarding creative content and verbiage. Our experience is that 90% of a company’s website store content won’t meet Amazon’s specifications. It takes time to make sure the listing information we submit will be approved. As Amazon becomes familiar with your product and we can help you get 5-star reviews, your sales should grow.
Amazon pays vendors via ACH every other week. For example, if your first payment date is Friday, March 1, you will receive your second payment on Friday, March 15, and your third payment on Friday, March 29. It may take 30-45 days from starting before you see these direct deposits. Regarding ‘how much’, Amazon payouts are a percentage of your sales, with a fluctuating rate that is hard to determine until you’ve been selling for 4-6 months.
Probably not. As mentioned above, almost 90% of a company’s existing ‘store content’ will probably not pass Amazon’s specifications. It could be due to words that raise red flags, or images that aren’t properly sized, to videos that contain ‘Call To Action’ verbiage that Amazon won’t accept. Remember, you are marketing to Amazon’s customers, not yours, which means much of your creative content may have to be edited.
Yes, but you can not sell your products at a price LOWER than what Amazon is charging. If Amazon’s algorithms see that another site (whether yours or an online retailer or distributor) is selling your products lower than Amazon, your listing(s) will be suppressed or deactivated. Amazon makes its vendors adhere to strict pricing guidelines, because remember, Amazon is making your products available to their customers, not yours.
Yes. But not initially. There is a crawl-walk-run reality with Amazon, so it could take a few months of dropship-activity before you qualify for Prime shipping. More importantly, are you prepared to ship inventory to Amazon warehouses in a timely fashion? Do you have the staffing to make sure you don't encounter inventory-related delays? Amazon wants to make sure you can sustain inventory levels that they deem suitable so when their customers want your product, it's in stock.
No, you are not contractually obligated to use our services for a specific length of time. However, we want to work with companies that understand that succeeding as an Amazon Seller takes time and effort. It could take up to a year before your sales are really clicking (no pun intended). And remember, we will continually navigate you through all the opportunities that allow Amazon to provide new customers for your products.
